ImmediaDent is in search of a Clinical Director & VP of Clinical Services. We currently have 21 practices in Indiana, Ohio & Kentucky and our home office is in Leawood, KS. This person will travel to all locations and may base out of any of these or surrounding areas.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Director and VP of Clinical Services (“Clinical Director) will be responsible for all clinical functions within the organization. The incumbent will embrace the ImmediaDent Way business model, work with other departments to ensure our Dentists are able to deliver prompt, professional and painless treatment to our patients with the highest standards in dental care – striving to safely eliminate dental disease in as few appointments as possible – and ensure compliance with state dental board, payor and state and federal laws and regulations. The CD will work closely with the CEO and Management team to ensure financial success of the business. In addition, this person will have an active Dental License and non-clinical practice management experience.
Essential Functions:
ˇ Establish programs and goals for Dentists and other clinical professionals, with appropriate mentoring, monitoring and reporting, to ensure the highest standard of patient dental care, including convenient access and comprehensive treatment.
ˇ Work closely with the CEO to ensure financial success of the business
ˇ In concert with the training department, responsible for all clinical professional training including on-boarding, training of existing professionals, and establishing a recurring schedule of continuing education programs for all doctors, and providing sufficient opportunities for doctors to achieve success
ˇ Coordinate the clinical aspect of the Chart Review process
ˇ Establish and maintain a program for professional dental practice compliance, and appropriate compliance with Medicaid and other governmental and dental association guidelines relating to dental practice (compliance program, audit, and reporting).
ˇ Ensure clinical aspects of protocol manual are kept current
ˇ Ensure administration of annual doctor evaluations
ˇ Lead the doctor recruiting effort and develop training and development guidelines to reduce doctor turnover
ˇ Lead the Internal Credentialing committee to ensure new and existing doctors have required licensure for practice
ˇ Lead the Clinical Quality Review Committee which is tasked with ensuring we achieve and maintain high levels of clinical excellence, while identifying and rectifying anything to the contrary.
ˇ Establish and maintain lab, supply and equipment vendors, formularies, and vendor relations
ˇ Work with CEO to ensure appropriate communication and program coordination with PC Presidents and doctors
ˇ Communicate clinical direction via quarterly newsletter column, emails, and other means
ˇ Cooperate in developing and executing marketing and promotional activities
ˇ Responsible for the clinical department budget of SDPM
Experience:
ˇ Degree in dental surgery (D.D.S.) or dental medicine (D.M.D.) from a school approved by the Council on Dental Education, American Dental Association (ADA); or other dental school
ˇ Active dental license
ˇ 7 – 10 years previous dental practice management experience
ˇ Multi-site ownership/management experience
ˇ Willingness and ability to travel
